Children’s Festival of Reading, May 19

Calling All Published Children’s Book Authors

Donna Martin at On the Write Track, will have a booth at the Children’s’ Festival of Reading, in Knoxville, TN on Saturday, May 19 .  She is inviting published authors to submit an autographed copy of their book so that she can display it in her booth at the Children’s’ Book Festival.  This is Donna’s way of saying thank you to a wonderful writing community who has supported her, and an opportunity to showcase your book.

“I have been invited to have a booth where I am going to showcase any of my author friends who want to send me an autographed copy of their books or anything else they want to autograph…i.e. bookmarks, posters, pictures, etc. as giveaways.  This is my way of saying thanks for the friendship and support I have felt since becoming a part of this wonderful writing community.”

Go to her blog, On the Write Track, for details.  You can click on other official links and view pictures of  last year’s event.   All books are to be sent to Donna by mail.  If you scroll down on the post to the comment section, she left a message under my name/comment about how to contact her.  Thank you Donna.  This is a very generous offer to spread the word about other author’s books!

  1. This is an excellent way for authors to have their books made known to a wider audience, and Donna’s so generous to spend her time and energy promoting others’ writing.

Glad you highlighted her work today, Pat!

    • Beth, boy you are fast. You responded before I caught an error in my post. Yes, I reach other authors, so thought it a good idea to share her generous offer. I couldn’t agree more with you! – Pat

  3. If all the authors are able to send their books like they are telling me, I will have around 35 books or more at my book to be able to give away, along with some lovely autographed swag items…yippee!

  5. Hi Donna
I live in England. Would you be interested in some of my children’s books? It is a mystery story for 7 – 10 year olds set in an English school, with a few picture drawings. Three children are the main characters but one is deaf and another is in a wheelchair but this dosen’t stop them from becoming heroes. Books with handicap children as heroes and in the action are very few and far between here and publishers do not want to know about it as they feel it is for a niche market!!
    Thanks Lia.
I’m not too good with this IT lark but I am going to try and start a blog next…..yours looks great.

      • Hi Lia!

I am SOOO sorry about you missing paticipating in the festival. I did not send you an email because unfortunately I did not have your email address. I even looked just now on your website and can’t seem to find how to contact you. I’m sorry. If you originally sent it to me it might have gotten erased when I got hit by a hacker a couple of months ago and everything in my Facebook and Yahoo accounts were deleted. Of course I would love some autographed copies of your books to promote over here. I have some other events I will be participating in over the next few months and they can be part of my promotions. If you would like to send me an email, my address is donasdays (at) gmail (dot) com. Thank you for thinking of me and good luck with your blog…
